President Carter pardons draft dodgers.

January 21, 1977:  President Jimmy Carter grants an unconditional pardon to  Vietnam draft dodgers. 


It's believed that about half of those that went to Canada settled there permanently. 

Concordes First Flight

   Two Concordes left the ground simultaneously on January 21, 1976. 

At cruising speeds, 1,350 miles per hour, they cut the air travel time in more than half.
